Sex Sells
My roommate tells me I'm over reacting to the candy cigarettes thing. Then that lead us to a discussion on toy guns and me wondering how can such a deadly weapon be made into a toy?
doesn't it make it easier for you to pick up a real gun when your older?
In between our discussion she said: eshda3wa you should have become a psychologist, or a lawyer, something that would allow you to talk, reason, and argue. I know you love it, why didn't you?
Because everybody around me told me there is no future in it, that my best bet would be dentistry.
That might be true, but look at fozia drai3 for example! She made such a huge name for herself and she makes alot more than we were dream of making.
Yeah but fozia is a SEXologost.
She talks about something taboo, something that grown men and women still freaking giggle about in our society!

I disagree, fozia dree3 does not make more money than Successful famous doctors with private clinics. I do agree that the cigarettes candy is so wrong, but not sure about the guns.

no, because that's not applicable to other countries.
But what I'm saying it's not the sex that sells, it's just women, again "objectification" of women.
So it's the product enhancement. you don't see a man next to a car and go like oo sexy i'm gona buy it. They dont care what women think , it's what men want, male-dominated society. We're doomed :P

Hmm, Well i believe you should do what you want o do.. I mean if you love something and have a chance, then do it.. I don't like it when people tell us what we should do, like you should be an engineer/doctor.. etc.. I think any profession, job you like is no different than any other,,

i guess the 'sex sells' approach is more appealing to those that have minimal exposure to it as a concept, because their curiosity leaves them wanting more. however, i find that comedy sells more than sex. i find commercials that are comedic are more effective than those that have a sexual theme...may have branched off the subject a bit, but mrmf had to say that

Hmm, yes true, I have to agree. Sex sells. A LOT. But there's "clever" use of sex and there is just the hands down perverted, annoying, in your face "blond" sex. That turns me off.

I agree wholeheartedly. I mean people complain about Nancy Ajram and Elissa and yet they cannot realize it is us asking for sexual exploits in their video clips and concerts. I mean Nancy would never, say, made those plastic surgeries if people noticed her and her voice during her first album.

sex does sell, unfortunately. It is, however completely exploitative of such a private act that this has become so predominant in modern advertising. Taking that approach is always easy, but cheap.
