The Stock Market Or Lack Of
A few days ago my mom and i were having coffee with a family friend. In the middle of our very pleasant conversation his fone started going crazy. Beeping, ringing. He got up. Came back his face like a ghost. Devoid of any color.
My mom and i looked at him quizzically wanting to know whats going on but too polite to just ask.
He took a deep breath, hung his head low and said I lost 600 thousand kd in the stock market.
I felt sorry for him. Every time i sit with anyone all they ever talk about is the bor9a. Stocks going down down down. People losing money left and right.
In between our empty non consoling words of consolation ... ma3alaih, allah y3awthik inshallah. The man had tears in his eyes. It was awkward. Then he looks at us and says I lost 600 thousand TODAY. I don't even want to think about the total amount of money i lost in the past two months. Last week it was 200 thousand. I don't want to count! I don't!
So don't i told him calmly. He was getting really agitated.
My god, seriously people. Its sad.
Then he started talking about conspiracy theories. Cause EVERYTHING has to be a conspiracy theory.
The bor9a turned into a hospital with all the people passing out everyday.
All i have to say is inshallah better days are ahead, oo allah y3aweth el kel khair.

And let that be a lesson to everyone.

well the stock in kuwait, I played there for a while and enjoyed it. Its not that hard you just need to play it safe. Which, you can do it ^^

I hate the Stock market.. Ma3ana its 7alal and stuff, a7is its le3eb bel floos in a way :S.. People yge6oon alaaaf o malayeen, way to confident to consider losing all that they have..

It's sad really. It's the same here in my country. My mom (who's worked in banking) says never to totally trust the stock markets.

OMG! The poor guy! My mom told me that the stock market is going down, but I didn't know it was that bad! I heard Gulf Bank pulled its self out of the market.

It's not worth it!! An old friend of dad went into adeep coma because of it!!
There was this story of a guy who commited a suicide because of it as well!! Another lost his wife, house, job and kids!!

Its very sad, but this is what everyone is facing. The best thing is to exit when things are going good, even if it gets better you are better off having real income then just stock income.

i dont like to tell this,but yes you cant be any slightly optimistic in the current time ... it might get worse....for your relative , i guess he would be able to get some recoveries in the coming few days...but not for long...coze it is so likely we would go into a recession peroid just like the one the world had in 1928 ..the history is repeating itself...be carfull
