Perfumes
I love getting perfumes as gifts, especially Arabic ones. My cousin hates it, she says its not a thoughtful gift, just convenient.
I disagree, if anyone takes the time to buy anything at all even if its just convenient, it still counts as thoughtful.
I like having a big collection of scents to choose from, and i always spray according to my mood.
Fig my roommate only likes using one perfume at a time. A bottle of perfume usually lasts only a week with her cuz she doesn't just spray it, she takes a shower with it. and suffocates me along the way.
I hate it when people spray too much. They would enter a room and immediately flood your senses. Its not nice, just over powering. And my god if your in a confined place like an elevator!
I can actually feel their perfume in the back of my throat!
But i guess being over powered by perfume is a lot better than being over powered by body odor!
(this is me trying to find a bright side, eshraykom feeni wana positive)

i don't like having alot of perfumes in one time nor only one.. i use like 4-5 bottles.. 6ab3an '3air il dihin 3ood oo hal ashya2 (bs i don't buy them as often coz ma astahlikhum wayd)
If the person likes perfumes (and who doesn't ;p) the a perfume is a very thoughtful gift :)

I like perfumes, but I don't like it when people over-spray themselves...mo lazem kil il 3alam illi 7awalainkom yeshemon your perfume..that is not the point!

oo at the moment, i have more than 6 in my drawer right now :)
i spray according to occasion more than mood though hehe

I dont like giving/getting perfumes (as gifts) unless I know the person wants/likes that perfume I am buying... I am kinda like your roommate I use one perfume at a time but not showeing myself with it hehehehe and believe it or not? I have been using the same perfume (KeNZO parfum d'ete) for 15 years!!!!!! hehehehe yes FIFTEEN! but now I use two (since SJP's Lovely came out)
i know that type of ppl, i lived w/ them, cant do it though.. two or three perfumes maximum to choose btwn :)

a little of thiss, a spray of thaatt and then when people say mm you smell nice F what is it? i tell themm..ahh long story =)
i hate getting perfumes as a gift or even giving them. i feel its very impersonal. no thought went into it at all.

Arabic perfumes?.. I always find them too heavy. Or maybe I don't know enough about them.

i agree on most of it, i dont like overpowering scents either, just a whiff when one is passing by is so much more elegant. man or woman. and i LOVE arabic scents, bu5oor w dehn 3ood w everything made from both is amazing i reckon.. u shud try narcisso rodriguez's 'narcisso' its not arabic but its 70% 3ood, and its the best perfume ever!

lol, it was nice of you to try. I personally use one fragrance at a time, although I usually have many of them in my bathroom, but I stick with one. When it comes to arabic fragrances though, I don't think it makes that much of a difference. I hate it when it's over powering too,( even tough nQ used to say I wear too much of it.
Im exactly like u ! I have so many perfumes and i use them from tiiiime to time depending on mood, occasion, clothes im wearing, time of day etc etc.

Though I spray my perume bottle in two weeks if not less " not in a crazy way" but I can't stand odor smell!!
My nose is just so effing sensitive to sweat smell!!
i agree.. the worst give u can give someone is perfume unless u know EXACTLY what their taste is. its impersonal and convenient

now if it were to be given, it should be 'part' of a gift, not the main item.

gifts are gifts.. what ever they , other wise the person saying other than that, is looking at the gift itslef and not the meaning :)
seasonality and moodyness require the availability of different kinds and types of perfumes to compliment those changes ;)

I love perfumes and I love having a variety of them from french to arabic, I always spray the arabic perfume on my abaya.

I have a rule no spraying perfume if im in the car! LANA they never put shwaya they always shower in it and suffocate us all!
I think perfumes are a very thoughtful gift, as you take the effort and time to choose the perfect one..
I love perfume so i dont mind it as a gift :D

oooh I have mixed feelings on this topic.. if its a blah normal perfume that everyone has I dont like getting it as a gift, but if its something for example that we don't have in the country jaybeena mn bara3 or something astanas :P but I don't give perfume as a gift, a7s it says "I dont know you well enough to know what to get you, so here, spray some perfume on :P "
