antioxidants
my aunt is obsessed with antioxidants
she keeps calling me and telling me to eat this or that
She recently emailed me a list of top 10 antioxidants
thought id share it with you
BERRIES
Blueberries, raspberries and blackberries are rich in proanthocyanidins, antioxidants that can help prevent cancer and heart disease. Strawberries, raspberries and blackberries contain ellagic acid, a plant compound that combats carcinogens
BROCCOLI
cruciferous vegetables like cabbage, cauliflower and Brussels sprouts, can help prevent cancer and ward off heart disease.
TOMATOES
they can ward off certain kinds of cancer, prevent macular degeneration and cataracts, and help maintain mental function as we age, also helps boost immune function.
RED GRAPES
These potent antioxidants boost heart health by acting as free-radical scavengers, reducing platelet aggregation and helping blood vessels remain open and flexible. It can also protect against cancer and reduce the risk of inflammatory diseases, gastric ulcers, stroke and even osteoporosis.
GARLIC
its packed with antioxidants that can help fend off cancer, heart disease and the effects of aging.
SPINACH
Studies have shown that people who eat spinach are less likely to develop cataracts and macular degeneration, the two most common causes of vision loss
TEA

I am obssesed with antioxidants too --
I consume 3 glasses of lemon juiced blended with parsley and roca everyday let alone the blueberries which is the richest source of antioxidants...

If I hear or read the word antioxidants ONE more time *mumbles* Its like the trend these days. I eat them but this word is driving a lot of people off edges like buying those "special" drinks... ITs like a placebo lool. Here, have some antioxidant! in reality its sugar loool. ahh! ok, i'll end my ventsession right about now. Love u chica! haha
LOOL "health-concious", my mom is one of those who talks about healthy food always =) I got a few lessons about healthy food too which sometimes annoy me. Thanks for sharing with us, I guess I should watch what I eat from today =)
I doubt they really work .... try not having them and see what happens ....
