Would you write a Prisoner?
This is so interesting or creepy, depends on how you look at it, but this site allows you to become pen pals with people in prison.
A friend of mine had a prisoner friend who converted to Islam, the letters were really cool.
I think you to try it.

i'm so wanna do this!! :D i remember i saw a movie about something like that.. this's cool.. but it'd be really cool if u've seen/met the prisoner or atleast u know about him/her..i mean, u don't write 'em just like that..
in high school i was the only girl who wanted to visit the womens' prison here in KSA as a school trip.. XD a visit to a prison is always better than a visit to a place where u see dead ppl get prepared before they get buried :/

Never thought about it. I'm not the type of person who would sympathize with criminals. I believe they should stay in prison and think about what they have done. Then again it depends on the reason why they are in there in the first place. I think i'm more into helping Juvies since there's a bigger chance of getting to them than older individuals.

what is he/she in for....I would never be a pen-pal with a child pedophile....a rapist...a murderer....I honestly dont sympathize for such ppl....hell is where they re supposed to be!!
But if it was a theif...a person with crimes that dont involve children or killing...then of course I would..as u said they might be come Muslim thanks to me...and that would be a ticket to heaven EHHH =D

I would not really mind writing to a prisoner, only I will do it without revealing my identity. Also, it would depend on the reason why that person is in prison.

ok u know what ... Nope - no way, I dont think so. They are people, yes, but ppl who have taken seriousely wrong turns in life, and they are in there for a reason. I dont know if I wud want to associate myself with criminals.
I am not trying to say that everyone in there has been put there justly,some cud be in there my mistake, or self defense, etc but if their own family and friends dont associate with them, it must be really bad, so Why Wud I??

i write not because i sympathise with them, but because i am interested to see what kind of human mind would do this.. see what goes on in their head, try to make sense where no sense can be made... i think its just a result of reading too many psycology books :)

ummm... i can barely keep track of my own circle of friends - let alone start writing people I don't know. Plus, what if he becomes infatuated? the last thing I need is a stalker whose had a violent past and criminal tendencies! looooool that would be scary..
I understand though that it's a human thing to do though, because at the end of the day these are people who have been isolated from the rest of society and some will eventually be released sooner or later.. so having a link to the outside world may help them cope with their sentences and make them feel that they would be less of outcasts and thus somewhat accepted later on...

We really dont know how would it feel to be a prisoner... from my experience whenever I was locked in..It was a really peacful time for me specially after I killed all those creatures..
Anyway, when I got " el3afow elamery" and I was finaly out..I thought poor ants..I shouldn`t have stepped on them..yeah yeah write..write..

Ive seen some shows about this..and it has to end up with some kind of mishap in the movies, someone falls in love, he kills her,whatever:P the good thing is u gain a new friend, and a bad guy is kinda cool;p
Eshda3wa i'm not sorry to inform you that you're imagination is wrong.
Now why wouldn't you want to have a lil fling with someone who might just have had a lil wrong turning in life? who knows, that prisoner might just be what i need. She'll probably be guilty enough i believe to never repeat what she entered prison for again. and she'll probably be great lover. Who knows i might end up marrying her! :D

when i think about prisoner.98% did the crime so i alway think about the victims and loveone who have to live with the last and the pain.
My feeling is this. Most people who have committed a crime are paying for thier mistake. Many times they have lost touch with thier family members or loved ones ( I think the number is 90 percent lose touch with their family or loved ones while in prison). So their support system is damaged. It has been shown that those who have penpals and contact with society have a lower rearrest rate than those who do not. So think of it this way, just by writing a convict, you could help reduce crime. And by reducing crime you are also reducing prison costs, keeping a person working who then contributes thier taxes to prrograms you use every day. So is the effort to write a letter a month worth it to society? You decide..

I have a father whos encarserated 4 forgery, theft & has 6 more cases pendng against him. right now hes doin 2yrs. & right when he gets out, their goin 2 ship him back 2 another city & lock him up again. from wut im bein told, hes goin to be gone 4 10yrs... 10 f***** yrs. hes very lonely & yes I know its his fault dat hes in dere & I have no sympathy 4 him, but dat dosent mean 4 me 2 4get bout my father, every1 deserves a chance 2 be cared & thought bout, no matter da crime & how little or horrible it is... no1 desevres 2 be locked away like carbage & 4gotten. dont ever let any1 tell u ur crazy or stupid 4 writing sum1 whos encarserated, dont let no1 do u but u. cos @ da end of da day, sum1 is proud of u 4 takin da tyme 2 write sum1 who has nuthin else 2 do but wait around & wait 4 dere tyme 3 cum till dere released & even @ dat, ppl are in dere 4 LIFE!!! think bout it ppl, it dosent mean ur a bad person 4 writin an inmate..
