Stripper Shoes For School
Some people just don't know how to dress appropriately. I understand people have different taste when it comes to fashion. But there are things I dont think two people can disagree on.
There is this girl with me in school that shows up to the clinic in these shoes. EXACTLY the same ones, silver glitter and all.
I don't understand how she is able to stand all day on her feet with shoes like that! We run around all day, going from one clinic to the next, diagnosing patients, walking to the lecture halls and back to the clinic again. Stripper shoes should not be worn to school, especially when your in a position where your image directly affects patients reactions towards you!

Yuck I know what you mean. Everything is exaggerated here. That doesn't look professional at all, I'm not sure you'd wear something like that to the Disco even! They think they look nice with excessive glitter in the AM when all they appear as is cheap.

I saw a girl once at uni. wearing knee-length LEATHER skirt and boots (knee-length and leather, too :) ), I was horrified :| and it wasn't that cold anyway.

i don't know when it's appropriate to wear such shoes, but many do it here in bahrain! when i came here, i could not believe all the girls that wear these type of shoes under their abayas. it floored me!!
in the states you don't find girls wearing these unless they are strippers! i dont even know where they sale things like this there! but here, you find them all over!!
yesterday i was coming home and saw the hooker/prostitute that lives in the apts across from us. she had a new guys going up w/ her and guess what type of shoes she was wearing?? yep... those kind.
i think this girl wants attention... the one from your school. why else wear those when you have clinics to attend to! because any heels are hell on the feet. even when i see girls wearing heels at the mall i don't understand it because it kills to walk around in them for any length of time.

There should be a do's and don'ts of fashion in Kuwait. Where they take pictures of people who think they look good and point it out to them they look horrible...

seriously speaking, i personally feel that to dress approproately for your line of work is of utmost importance. i rate it second to knowledge of your work.
only if you dress appropriately can people take you seriously. first impressions are most important.

exactly my point girl ! I’ve seen such things back at college ooo even now at work !! I so much believe that everyone should do whatever they think is right .. but still there is always a limits .. I mean for god’s sake even in the stats they are not allowed to wear any kinda clothes to work .. people should realize this … but it seems that no one does ..

Wearing those shoes in a professional setting may not be appropriate sure, but it has nothing to do with ethics or the shoes being related to strippers. I'd understand if you were talking something revealing or obscene to be related to stripper-wear but a pair of glittery shiny shoes? So what. It is just shoes. What you said made it seem that anyone who wears a pair like that is automatically labeled as a stripper.

LOL, I'm a short girl and I have a couple of stripper shoes but when I wear them I make sure they don't show it's just for the height. Well anyway I wore my stripper shoes to my friend's wedding because my dress was extra long and dragging and of course we took thousands of pictures and it just didn't occur to me that when I sit down you can see my shoes. So anyway when the pics came out and were posted all over facebook all anyone can pay attention to is my shoes, LOOOOOL.
In every pic I was in my shoes stole the attention from the bride, groom, everything else.....
I think you should mind your own bussines and keep your opinions to yourself....cus you have so much time left out to comment about people...when maybe she thinks you are dressed like a dork too....so what shes wearing it....they are sexy, atleast she got the guts to wear it....I hate hate people with gossip just mind your own damn bussines got nothing nice to say don't say it....

I'm a Journalist, and I have been in the business for many years. I have a respectable job, family and values. I see nothing wrong with stripper shoes, I love shopping for them, and in fact, I own tons of them! I love shoes, and I shop for anything that looks beautiful and is functional and comfortable. These shoes may look uncomfortable to you, because you have never tried them! I am actually tall and skinny, and dont look like a hooker at all! So that doesnt mean you should be short and ashamed in order to wear shoes like that!
I think you should loosen up a little bit! If you don't like them, fine! But don't be so negative please! It's just shoes! ;-)

But u should know that we are dentists. The reason we dont wear stripper shoes for school is the same reason we cant show up in tube-tops and jeans, or even something as simple as flip flops.
were supposed to look serious professional.
Theres an appropriate time and place for everything, dont u think?
