Midnight Cravings

I've been having these midnight cravings ever since i came home. I'd be snuggled in bed and suddenly I'm hungry. No I'm starving. Oh my god I'm dying from hunger!!

When it first started i though maybe its because i didn't have any dinner. So i got up and raided the fridge. I found left over mashed potatoes. I microwaved just a tinsy winsey bit (yeah right). I drowned it in salt and lemon, then gobbled the whole thing up and went back to bed. I couldn't sleep the rest of the night cause i got awful heart burn!

Then a few nights ago i started having these whole wheat croissant to make myself feel better ya3ni I'm going healthy.

For the past two days I've been having junk food. Cup cakes. Looots of cup cakes and ice cream.
I actually take the time to cutup some fruits and decorate my plate!

It needs to stop RIGHT now!

any suggestions?

Ignore those craves... Please do. This is a main cause of gaining weight. When those craving hit, it's because the body is burning some fat, not due to hunger. My guess is you've been staying late, or at least later than you're used.

The next time yo get them, have a class of water, an apple, or some yogurt.

Start eating more fruit. If you want to eat ice cream, then eat low fat frozen yoghurt instead.

LOL, your body might actually be in need of sugar. Try having fruits which are already sugar-full! But mashed potatoes mean its also salty cravings.. soo maybe schedule your dinner at a better time to avoid late cravings?

It takes two weeks of fighting those cravings until you no longer actually get them, good luck :D

eat a home made club sandwich using wheat bread in the morning. For lunch Proteins are excellent just grilled chicken or meat like kabab and so on no potatoes etc..
and for dinner a nice salad would be perfect.
I wish this could help ^^

I am going through something totally the opposite... a couple of nights ago I was in the ER till after 5:00AM (food poisoning)

I say.. eat well during the day and have a light meal during the night to keep you from fridge raiding :P

Set a deadline for yourself to stop eating. For example, eat all day until 6pm, then don't eat a thing.. AND STICK TO IT!

Honestly I think you should have some fruit, have an apple and a banana! A few tamur and liban, it will fill you but you won't feel full! :)

don't skip dinner, and if midnight snacking time kicks in, keep urself busy with anything inedible!

now I'M craving a cupcake.

I don't usually have a midnight snack unless I am hypoglycemic, which rarely happens.

I think you're in a phase and it'll go after some time, enjoy it =D
