Life Defining Moments
Changing schools 1997
I was scared and miserable, turned out to be the best move I ever made
My uncle passing away 2000
Cancer at 32. Changed everything about everyone, the great depression, my aunts wore black for 3 years after his death, it definitely changed my outlook on life.
Graduating High school 2003
Breaking away from the security and familiarity of everything and everyone I had grown up with, i felt limitless!
My parents divorce 2006
Its not so much the divorce, but dealing with the aftermath.
There are a lot of significant moments in my life. moving away from home, dealing with certain situations, meeting certain people, but these four moments had more impact on me and who i am today than any others.

Time To Chillax!
I'm finally done with my exams!
God im so relieved, i was on the verge of a nervous breakdown.
Did really well on most things, but a few were not so great.
I'm going on a cruise for the weekend! the girls and I need to relax after such a tiering month of intense studying.
The last midterms of my university career (i hope)
Fig my roommate had us on a tight schedule the whole time.
Right down to what time we eat and shower, she would walk out of her room and say "you have half an hour to shower, GO!"
I tend to drift off alot when im studying, so i needed her to keep me on track!
But now its all over and im going to pamper myself for at least a couple of weeks to rejouvinate, and im thinking of coming home for a week, I couldn't come Christmas break cause my exams were right after and I had to study for them.
How are you guys doing?

Moe eshda3wa and a cynical adult sat down for a conversation about Moe's new job offer.
Moe: I don't think I'm gna take it. i know i can do better
Cynical adult: you should take it
eshda3wa: if you don't like it then don't
Moe: I want a certain company I'm waiting on them, i can move up pretty quick, plus I'm taking this course
Cynical adult: you really shouldn't get ahead of yourself and just get a job while you can
eshda3wa: theres nothing wrong with exploring your options, he's still young
Cynical adult : look i have already been through this, you kids have your heads in the clouds thinking your gonna make it big, well let me tell you this, your NOT. Put your feet on the ground and listen to what I tell you.
eshda3wa : geez whatever happened to the sky is your limit
Moe : your saying I shouldn't even try?
Cynical adult: I'm saying you should listen
eshda3wa: I'm saying do whatever you want to do its your life
cynical adult : your gna fall flat on your face !
Moe : why ?! I have a certain goal and I'm trying to reach it
eshda3wa : even if you fall flat, its your choices and your face
cynical adult: with that attitude of yours, your falling flat on your face too
I know life turns people bitter, but man talk about bursting someones bubble!

Just WHY Arabs!!
My friends and I were surfing you tube last night, and something struck me as odd. Whenever we typed anything in Arabic, it had to be followed by a few videos of FETHe7a (scandal). Fethe7at this and fethe7at that.
Whats worse is that this is not odd, in fact its pretty common, its so like stupid idiotic
Putting videos of girls dancing, or with their boyfriends. Shino hal mu9akha!
What kind of sick pleasure can they possibly find in this?

Making Friends
The older you get, the harder it is to make friends.
I remember when I was a kid it took me all of 30 seconds to find someone to play with.
Now however its a different story.
I'm a sheltered person by nature. Although I'm very social and can get along with almost anybody, I don't befriend people easily.
I'm not one to just start talking about personal things. My university friends know close to nothing about my personal life although Ive been living with them for the past five years. The only one to know bits and pieces is my roommate.
All my friends I have known since childhood. My social circle is so small i could probably count em with one hand!
Each person occupies a big place in my heart since there's a lot of space to go around!
Some people tell me that this is a bad thing, that I'm supposed to expand my "connections", the more people you know the merrier.
I say id rather stay connected with the people that i grew up with.Expand on the relationships I already have, and put more effort into them.
Its not the quantity of relationships you have, its definitely the quality!

One More Day
UPDATE : I should rephrase the question. If you had one more day with a person that is no longer in your life (dead) who would it be?
I just finished reading Mitch Albums book For one More Day.
I loved it.
Just like his other books, it really hit home with me, took me deep.
It was such an easy read, I couldn't put the book down, and it got me thinking.
If I had one more day with someone, I'd choose to spend it with my grandma.
I would curl up in her lap and ask her to talk to me about nothing in particular. I want her soothing voice to fill my head and my heart. I want her to hold me like she always did, and I want to watch her bake. Her beautiful hands wrinkled with age working away at mounds of dough. She loved baking, and I was grandmas little helper.
I want to snuggle next to her in bed like I did so many times before and have her tell me a bedtime story, usually about Kuwait, the old days, and how things used to be.
If I had one more day with my granny id spend it telling her that I love her every Minuit of it, and I would thank her for everything she had ever done for everyone around. Id spend a good amount of it bragging too, telling her of all the things I had done and accomplished, making her so proud of me she'd burst!
I love you grandma.
