House Of Horrors: 24 year old crime

This is just too sick for words. Disgusting rotten and horrifying.
(if you dont feel like reading the whole thing, scroll down to the time line)

Austrian Josef Fritzl imprisoned his daughter for 24 years and fathered seven children with her.

The abused daughter told police her father began sexually abusing her at age 11. On August 8, 1984 -- weeks before she was reported missing -- her father enticed her into the basement, where he drugged her, put her in handcuffs, and locked her in a room, she told police.

For the next 24 years, she was constantly raped by her father, resulting in seven children, six of whom survived, she said, according to the police statement.

She told police she gave birth to twins in 1996, but one of the babies died a few days later as a result of neglect, and Josef Fritzl removed the infant's body and burned it.

Elisabeth told police that only her father supplied her and her children with food and clothing, and that she did not think her mother, Rosemarie, knew anything about their situation.

Three of the children were kept underground in the cellar with their mother Kerstin 19, Stefan, 18, and Felix, 5.They never saw the light of day.

The other three lived upstairs with the family. The criminal made it look like his daughter had left them on the doorstep claiming she could not take care of them begging her parents to take them in.

The community viewed Josef Fritzl, a retired electrical engineer, as a loving grandfather who took his grandchildren in their time of need, never suspecting he was also their father!

The breakthrough in the case began a week ago when Kerstin Fritzl fell seriously ill with convulsions.

Her mother Elisabeth begged Josef to take her to a hospital, which he did.

Josef told his wife that their missing daughter had dropped off ailing Kerstin on the doorstep with a note asking that they get her medical care.

Josef took her to the town's clinic with the note, but doctors needed more information to determine why the young woman was unconscious and having violent convulsions.

So they contacted police, who asked the local media to report on Kerstin's situation in an effort to find the missing mother.

Elisabeth and her two sons saw the reports on the television provided to them in their 100-square-foot living quarters, police spokesman Franz Polzer said, and "they desperately pleaded with their father so they could be taken (to the hospital)... (and) do something for the 19-year-old."

Josef Fritzl agreed, and took all three of the remaining captives out of the basement, explaining to Rosemarie and the rest of the family that Elisabeth had reappeared with her two children after an absence of 24 years.

He took them to the hospital and, at some point, authorities there realized something was wrong. Police picked up both Josef and Elisabeth on Saturday near the hospital and brought them into the station for questioning.

Josef would not talk to police but Elisabeth began to tell her story once she was convinced she would never have to see her father again, and that her children would be safe.

Time line of the event

1977: Elisabeth Fritzl claims she was first abused by her father Josef when she was 11 years old.

1984: Elisabeth is allegedly lured into the cellar of her house and drugged and handcuffed by her father. She is forced to write letters saying she has run away from home.

1988: Her first child, Kerstin, is born.

1989: Elisabeth gives birth to her first son, Stefan.

1993: A baby, nine-month-old Lisa, is left on the doorstep of the Fritzl house, with a letter asking Josef and his wife Rosemarie to look after her.

1994: Another child, Monika, arrives with another similar note and is adopted by the Fritzls.

1996: Elisabeth gives birth to twins, but one dies after three days. Josef allegedly burnt the body.

1997: Alexander, the surviving twin, is moved upstairs to join rest of family.

2003: Another letter from Elisabeth arrives saying she had a second son, Felix, the previous year. he is also raised in the cellar.

2008:

April 19:
Kerstin is taken to hospital after falling serious ill, and doctors discover that her grandfather is in fact her father.

April 20-27: Josef releases Elisabeth along with Stefan and Felix and tells wife they have chosen to return home.

April 26:
Police pick up Josef and Elisabeth near the Amstetten hospital where Kerstin is being treated.

April 27: Josef admits his guilt following Elisabeth's statement.

April 28: Police search the family's house and discover cramped cellar with special security door.

April 29: Josef Fritzl appears in court.

The Price Of Slacking Off

I am not a procrastinator. I don't usually leave things till the last minute. I like getting things done and out of the way as soon as possible.
That's why I have my study plan ready a month before my exams.
I don't like stress, and with the whole testing anxiety that Ive got (no signs of getting better) its a lot easier to just start in advance.

BUT, (yes theres a but) since its my last semester I figured why not slack off?
Who cares about grades anyway. I certainly don't. Not one bit, and I'm not being sarcastic.
If I get straight A's or straight D's its not going to make one bit of a difference. So I decided not to attend class unless absolutely necessary. i.e If i get a warning and/or threat about not being able to take my finals due to my excessive absences.
I already missed a bunch of quizzes, and all I keep thinking about is why haven't done this before! not caring is a bliss!

I just discovered why my parents, teachers and whoever else told me not to leave things till the last minute .
Because I never showed up to school I was extremely late finishing up my requirements. I have to have a certain number of clinical hours and cases to be able to take my practical finals.
Last week was my last chance. I left things till the very last day! So i drilled and filled till my fingers went numb.
My god it was hard work! I barely crossed the finish line.

The worst is not over yet.
I'm paying a dear price this week and eating tibin cause I have to take every single one of my practicals! All my subjects.
If it was just work then fine, I can handle that, but a Dr stands next to me and fires questions at me while I work.
So I have to hit the books and review what I think could be possible questions.

Do you know how much work that is!
How much energy it requires!
My roommate got 3 out of the way, some of my friends up to five!
UGH!
I'm totally hating the extended vacation I gave myself.

I'm worn out just thinking about it!!

Wish me luck people! I need it!

The Nightmare Continues

ok i know iv been whining and complaining, but they RE ARRANGED MY LIVING ROOM FURNITURE!!!

WTF

No seriously WT freaking F !!

I take a nap ( i don't know if four hours of sleep is considered a nap, but whatever) I wake up go into my living room and just freeze.

The house was empty, the TV was still blaring for some reason, and there I was standing barefoot my kisha bigger than ever (from the shock I'm sure) and my living room is not my living room anymore.

There were more changes in the kitchen, but they were eclipsed with what used to be my living room!!

I know they think they are helping, and they are the nicest people on earth, but they are driving me nuts!

Its exam week and my nerves are already all over the place!

*meditates*

God Grant me the serenity!

More Than My Drawers!

SHE THREW AWAY MY MACHBOOS

Ok fiddling with my drawers is one thing!
Throwing away the meals my mom cooked for me is a total other!!

When my mom was here she cooked a few things for me and placed them in the freezer, so whenever i feel like eating i can just microwave myself a nice home cooked meal.

I ate most of the stuff, but I saved the machboos till the very end. I was just looking for an opportunity to gobble it all up! !

Just today nouf was asking me if i had any food left over !

Then I come home totally worn out from the clinic, to have a smiling aunt inform me that they made marag 3adas, which i don't like but my roommate loves.

All good, then she tells me oh and I saw some frozen food in the freezer and I threw it away!

I chocked ! literally, started coughing and gagging!

WTF

I wanted to scream HOW DARE YOU!

but I didn't

I just smiled and said ok.

I cant wait to see what else she has in store for me!

One Cup Of Nightmare!

I'm so tired so extremely tired ! I have to be up in a few hours for a long long day ahead!
Why am I not asleep you ask?
Because right before I got into bed I decided to have a huge cup of tea!
Now I'm in bed, my body is asleep, my brain is asleep, but my eyes refuse to freaking sleep!
I know I'm probably going to dose off two seconds before my alarm goes off!

My roommates mom and aunt are here visiting us. I love them, Such nice people, and her aunt cooks. I absolutely love people who come and cook for me. She made a feast today, enough to feed an army. Everything was dandy until... the aunt decided to re arrange my bukhoor drawer!

If you know me then you would know how I'm totally anal about stuff like that! I designate a specific place for everything and that's where it MUST REMAIN!

you don't walk into someones kitchen and decide hmmm she has a whole drawer for bukhoor and she stuffed the soup with the cereal. I should take the soup out of the cupboard and stick them in the bukhoor drawer, then take the bukhoor and put it with the estikanas and fanjans elghawa!
What is she doing arranging by theme!
Arabic stuff go together?

I cant figure out why she would do such a thing. I could feel figs eyes on me when i opened the drawer and couldn't find my bukhoor. I'm sure she was praying that i wouldn't throw a fit and just leave everything alone till they leave at the end of the week. Actually she said that, she said 3adi you can put everything back after they leave.. please.

So I just left my rearranged drawers and made me some tea, with extra mint so i can calm down, and now I cant go to sleep!
I cant study either cz im too tired to consentrate.

I have to sit here wide awake thinking about my drawers!

Bloody tea!

Free Fouad II

This is for the people who asked to know more about the saudi blogger Fouad Alfarhan.

Taken from GlobalVoices

Saudi blogger Fouad Al Farhan was arrested on Tuesday December 11 after his office was forced into in Jeddah, located in Western Saudi Arabia. He was detained without an explanation or reasons for his arrest. Fouad Al Farhan is considered among the first Saudi bloggers to blog using their real names and his blog discusses social problems and tackle national issues frankly. This is reflected in the title of his blog which says: Searching for freedom, dignity, justice, equality, Shura and all the remaining Islamic values which are missing.. for Raghad and Khitab (his daughters). Authorities are holding Al Farhan's support for what is called as the 10 against him. They are 10 Saudi academicians who were arrested earlier this year and accused of financing terrorism - an allegation that is yet to be proved against them. It is noteworthy that Al Farhan was previously harassed by unknown authorities at the beginning of this year (February 2007). This led to him closing his blog only to return in June of the same year.

Wafat Alnabe (as) & 50 Years Of Tradition

50 years ago my grandfather had a nather to cook for Alnabe 3alaih elsalat welsalam yom wafata.
What started as one small meal for his immediate family grew to become the phenomena that is today.

After his death my grandma continued the tradition and on her death bed she asked her children to keep it going after shes gone.

The preparation starts weeks in advance. Making all the necessary purchases, From the spices to the sheep, every detail is checked and double checked.

We have a storage room specifically for all the equipment, pots pans and ovens that are used just for that day.

We set up in the 7oosh of our house. I can easily fit in any one of the pots. they are HUGE.

Two days before we start cleaning all the chicken, adding the spices and sorting everything out.

All my aunts and their kids gather the night before at our house. We start after Maghreb prayers. Cutting a ton of onions and making sure the ovens and stoves are working.
By midnight were going full fledge.

This year we started at 12 midnight and finished at 12 noon. 12 hours of non-stop cooking.
The result and the satisfaction amazing!

My family cooked 380 kilos of rice, 500 chickens and 6 thebay7 la7am.

(the set up)

(cleaning the meat)

(having dinner before the cooking starts)

(we used a ton of onions)

(adding the za3faran)

(the 7ashoo)

(all done)

(kids munching on wings at 7 am, haha !!)

Doctor Needs A New Brain

Shaikha had a sore throat so her parents took her to the clinic. The Dr there did the routine things, checked for a fever, listened to her heart and peeked down her throat.

Dr : oOooooh you have very sever tonsillitis

Shaikha: tonsillitis?

Dr : yeah your tonsils are infected

Dr writes down a bunch of medication, antibiotics and so on.
Shaikha leaves the room and goes to her dad who was waiting outside.

Shaikha: the dr said I have a severe case of tonsillitis

Dad: tonsillitis?

shaikha : yeah as in my tonsils are infected

Dad: are you sure she said tonsils?

shaikha: yeah

Dad: she didn't say something else

shaikha: no dad she said i have tonsillitis

Dad: honey you had your tonsils removed when you were 5!

To the Dr I say : malat 3alaich!

One Bad Apple

Theres this guy that used to go to my university who is running for parliament. We laughed like theres no tomorrow when we first heard. First because the guy barely has two brain cells, and he has no conscience. With a little power in his hands he will be the epitome of corruption.
I am certain.

Everyone that knew him here had the same reaction. Laughter then shock.

So I'm wondering. Am I supposed to take a stand against him?

If there was someone I knew personally that was voting for him I wouldn't hesitate for a second to voice my opinion, but do I go public ?

Flan elFlani is a rat?
Even if his acts were non political?

A persons everyday actions reflect their character.
I really don't want a person like him representing ANYONE in parliament!

People please make sure you vote for the right person!
This ain't no game!

Sex Sells

My roommate tells me I'm over reacting to the candy cigarettes thing. Then that lead us to a discussion on toy guns and me wondering how can such a deadly weapon be made into a toy?
doesn't it make it easier for you to pick up a real gun when your older?

In between our discussion she said: eshda3wa you should have become a psychologist, or a lawyer, something that would allow you to talk, reason, and argue. I know you love it, why didn't you?

Because everybody around me told me there is no future in it, that my best bet would be dentistry.

That might be true, but look at fozia drai3 for example! She made such a huge name for herself and she makes alot more than we were dream of making.

Yeah but fozia is a SEXologost.
She talks about something taboo, something that grown men and women still freaking
giggle about in our society!

Portray sex on anything and its gonna sell big
sex always sells
Anything from cheese to cars.

don't you think?
