Letting You Go

I haven't seen her in a while

her hair tied back in a ponytail

her cheeks sunken

black circles around her eyes from lack of sleep.

But that's part of every new mothers look.

I don't think she noticed me staring at her.

As soon as our eyes met i smiled, and we kissed and said our hellos like we saw each other last week. Instead of nine moths ago.

There we were in a near strangers house, acting like strangers ourselves.

Like we weren't nearly sisters. our past and history so entwined i dont have a memory that is just my own. She seems to be in every single on of them.

How did we get to this point?

i know exactly how. Down to the precise second that turned our relationship around.

there we were sitting next to each other yet worlds apart.

A big fat elephant between us.

neither of us wanting to acknowledge it.

Both of us wishing we could kill it.

But we won't.

We cant.

The damage is already too great.

So were going to smile at each other in public, and exchange pleasantries at gatherings.

But we would never again be what we once were.

I have let you go.

The Money In The Well Story

This is my dads favourite life lesson story.

Setting : old Kuwait

There once was a boy from a rich Kuwaiti family. He was lazy and unproductive, Everyday he would take a rupee from his dad and go do something useless.

His dad had finally had enough of him and told him from now on you will go out everyday and earn a rupee. or else he wont let him sleep in the house

So the boy wandered off into the street thinking of how he would make his money. He went over to his grandmothers house and asked her for a rupee. She happily handed him one.

When the boy went back home that night he handed his father the rupee. The father took it from him and said good job then threw the money in the family well.

This happened over a few days. The boy would take money from the grandma, and the father would throw it in the well.

One day the boy went looking for his grandma but he couldn't find her. She was out visiting relatives in a different area and wouldn't be back in time.

So the boy frantically searched the streets for something he can do to earn money.
He found a group of men building a mud house. So he asked them if he could help in exchange for a rupee.

After a long tiring day in the sun, the boy headed back to his house and handed the father his rupee.

As usual the father lifter his hand to throw away the money but the boy caught his fathers hand screaming NO!

I worked really hard for this rupee do not throw it away!

need i explain the point to this story?

Biker Boys

I tried snapping a pic of this idiot but he was all over the place!

There is nothing more annoying than those idiots on bikes without helmets.

they go down the street at break neck speed and then start showing off by standing on their bikes and acting like clowns!

Its supposedly against the law, but i have never ever seen a cop stop one of those lunatics.

If they want to risk falling and cracking their heads open, kaifhum.

But they are risking the lives of innocent people on the road!

Buy a helmet God damn it !
And stop trying to show off!

Dean & Deluca Pancake Mix

Blueberry, Apple cinnamon, oat and honey Buttermilk pancake mix

It was nothing special. I prefer our home made mix.

I have yet to try something totally mouth watering at Dean & Deluca.
I'm a food lover, and don't mind paying a little extra if the food is good, but so far they have failed to impress me .

What was the last mouth watering food you tried?

Blood Bank

When was the last time YOU donated blood?

If your over 18 you should head to the blood bank when you have a moment to spare.

The process doesn't take long, and you could help save a life.

فقع

Yesterday was fag3 cleaning day.

My aunts all gathered each with her box full
and got to work

I hate its smell but I helped anyway

We didn't stop till the whole thing was done.

My mom likes to buy a lot of it then keep it in the freezer so she can enjoy it all year round.
I don't get why anyone would want to eat something containing sand!

Are you guys fans of fag3?

Powerful Woman

*Conversation between a couple of my colleagues*

X (one of the nicest most respectable guys i ever met) whats to get married.

x: I don't want a girl who studied abroad.

L: Why not ?

x: I'm not saying theres anything wrong with girls who study abroad, its just that girls who lived away from their families and on their own had a lot of responsibilities on their shoulders. They become very independent and controlling.
I'm old fashioned. I like being the man of the house.
When i get married i want a woman i can lead, not be lead by her.

L: What do you think eshda3wa?

*contemplates giving x the finger.*

Eshda3wa: Good luck with that :)

So now I'm wondering .. is this kind of thinking common?
Or is he just insecure?

Kei

A couple of weeks ago i had a lovely lunch with my cousin NuNu in Kei marina. i realized i has spent the majority of our time together talking about blogs.
This blogger did this, this blogger did that.
Blogger recommended this we should try it out .. and so on.

And for someone who has quit blogging a long time ago, it can get pretty boring.

Much of what i know, do, and think about comes from my time on my laptop.

I talk about work and blogs. ALOT!

Last week NuNu and i had lunch at Rice. (no need to upload these pics since a lot of ppl already did)
Anyways, again my conversation drifted towards blogs, and i swear to you i could see NuNu trying so hard not to roll her eyes. (i know u too well babe)

So that got me thinking. I need a life.
Although i dont plan on cutting back on blogging, i need to add on to my life!

I did get more active after my emptyness post, but i can so much more.

Im making a list on how to make my life more interesting.

I'll let you know how it goes.

Do any of you do that too?
Talk about blogs a lot?

New Phone

sony ericsson s500i

49 kd

it has everything i want.
The organizer is good

The battery is a lot better than my old nokia

The camera isn't amazing, but who cares!

I love it

My dad kept taking me to different phone stores and asking me if i want a BB.

But i fell in love with this one..

A phone doesn't have to be expensive to be good!

and it matches my wallet as an added bonus!

My Gadgets Are Falling Apart!

Im not into gadgets and electronics.
I'm not up to date with whats in whats not.
In fact im way out of date.

I hate changing my electronics.

I only change them after they die and cannot be resuscitated.

My phone is dieing on me. Its terminal, and now my laptop is acting weird!

the keyboard refuses to type. i have to bang the letters! And when they do type its usually the wrong letter!

I press the O and get the I instead.

Its really annoying!

Now i have to change both and i am NOT happy about it.

If i have to change my laptop I'm getting the exact same one, but i don't think my phone is in the market anymore!

I have to find a new one.

Any suggestions?

No one mention an iphone or a Blackberry. Too complicated for me.

I have always used a Nokia, but im willing to live on the edge and try something new.

Nothing too complicated. Something with a good organizer! I save everything on my phone. From meeting to books i want to buy!

Your input will be appreciated :)
